 Lao Visa Entering Lao PDR is easy. Lao National Tourism Administration tries to simplify and fasten visa procedures. With your help immigration will be comfortable.
There are different types of visa. The most common is the tourist visa, which is available for thirty days. It can be obtained either in advance, which then must be used within two months of issue date. The second option is a visa on arrival at one of the thirteen entry points to Laos. These are:

At the international airports:
• Vientiane (Wattay International Airport) • Luang Prabang (Luang Prabang International Airport) • Pakse (Pakse International Airport)
Coming from Thailand you can get visa on arrival at the following entry points:
• Mittaphab Bridge (also known as Friendship Bridge) in Vientiane, linking Nongkhai • Houaixay (Bokeo/North Laos), coming from Xiangkong (North Thailand) • Nam Heuang Friendship Bridge (Xayabouly Province/North Laos) • Thakhek (Khammouan/Central Laos), from Nakhonphanome (Northeast Thailand) • Savannakhet (South Laos), from Moukdahan (East Thailand) • Vangtao (Champassak/South Laos), from Xongmek (East Thailand)
Coming from Vietnam you can get visa on arrival at the following entry points:
• Namkan (Xieng Khuang/Northeast Laos), from Namcan (North-Central Vietnam/Vinh) • Namphao (Bolikhamsai/Central Laos), from Caucheo (Central Vietnam/Vinh) • Ban Densavanh (Savannakhet/South Laos), from Laobao (Central Vietnam/Dong Ha)
From China you can enter in Boten (Luang Nam Tha/North Laos), coming from Mohan (Yunan).
Documentary requirements
• An application form filled and signed by the applicant. • Two recent photographs with size 4 x 6 mm. • A passport must have at least six months remaining validity.
