|Ban Tanongpor is a Khamu village, located in Muang La district. It
consists of 35 families with around 200 people. Subsistence farming is
the main income source. Furthermore, people produce handicrafts as
bags, baskets, and souvenirs.
Ban Tanongpo, together with Ban Phavi, was selected to be eco tourism destinations. The objective was to provide additional income and development to the village from services provided to Tourists. These services are accomodation, food and local guiding or the sell of handicraft.
